The holiday season is upon us once more, so now is as good a time as ever to check out cookbooks from the library. Before pouring through recipes, be sure to take advantage of the wonderful Thanksgiving Turkey baskets provided by our friends at the North Capitol Collaborative and Edgewood/Brookland Family Support Collaborative. The collaboratives will be distributing turkey baskets, clothing, books, toiletries and more to any D.C. resident on a first come, first serve basis. The distribution takes place on Tuesday November 22, at two sites: 113 Q St. N.W. and 200 K St. N.W., Suite 3. Residents should bring photo identification and proof of DC residency with them.
