From Willie’s Diary: Tuesday, December 27, 2011

Tonight was my second PAL Pajama Party at the Takoma Park Library, and golly did it feel great to be back!  I would have visited sooner if my teeth cooperated. You see, I had a toothache or rather teeth-aches… every one of my teeth hurt. Too many bones and not enough brushing, I’m told. The doggie dentist said it was time to pull them. And, because doggies don’t wear dentures, I had to adjust to mushy kibbles and soggy stews. I feel like a puppy again!

Miss Julie made sure to break my treat into very small pieces, and the children were very loving and gentle with me. I heard lots of great stories. My favorite one was Otto Goes to Bed by Todd Parr. To me, it should have been called Willie Goes to Bed because I got real cozy and quiet and felt the Zzzzzzs coming on.

Warmly,
Willie
