February 3 -- "A Lesson Before Dying," starring Don Cheadle. A frustrated teacher in a southern town, whose education is being underutilized, finds his own purpose in helping bring meaning to the last days of a young man due to be executed.

February 10 -- "The Great Debaters," starring Denzel Washington. Melvin B. Tolson is a professor at Wiley College in Texas. Wiley is a small African-American college. In 1935, Tolson inspired students to form the school's first debate team. Tolson turns a group of underdog students into a historically elite debate team which goes on to challenge Harvard University.

February 17 -- "Drumline," starring Nick Cannon. Halftime is party time for the gifted street drummer who snares the top spot in his university's marching band. However, he initially flounders in his new world, before realizing that it takes more than talent to reach the top.

February 24 -- "Dream Girls," starring Jamie Foxx. Three young women, Deena Jones, Effie White and Lorrell Robinson, desire to become pop stars. They get their wish when they are picked to be back-up singers for the legendary James "Thunder" Early.
