"The Autobiography of Malcolm X"

The West End Book Club will meet to discuss The Autobiography of Malcolm X on Tuesday, February 21, at 12:30 p.m. in the small reading room on the second floor. Copies of the book are available at the Information Desk.
A screening of the 1992 film version rated PG-13 and starring Denzel Washington will follow on Thursday, February 23, at 1:30 p.m. Please join us for the discussion, for the film screening, or for both, in celebration of Black History Month.
If there was any one man who articulated the anger, the struggle, and the beliefs of African-Americans in the 1960s, it was Malcolm X. The Autobiography is now an established classic of modern America, a work that expresses like none other the crucial truth about race and racism in our times.
