Georgetown Bookclub: "Midnight's Children"
Published on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 - 8:53pm
We keep hearing that we must read Salman Rushdie's Booker Prize-winning masterwork Midnight's Children, but it is really long! And complex! So we are going to do something we've never done before in the three-year history of the Georgetown Book Club... spread a book out over two months.
April 19 at 7:30 p.m.
At this first meeting we will discuss roughly the first half of the novel, from the beginning through the chapter titled "Alpha and Omega." Feel free to read more, but no discussing the ending until May!
May 17 at 7:30 p.m.
We'll discuss the second half in depth as well as the novel as a whole.
We hope you can join us to discuss this modern Classic! If you have any questions, please email Maria.Rosensweig@dc.gov.
