Science in the Summer, Level 1

Last Date:
Thursday, June 28, 2012 - 4 p.m.

Science in the Summer is a fun and free science education program sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline.  This fun science program helps elementary-school children "grow into science."  Classes are small, with 15 students each, so be sure to register early!  Level 1 classes are for children entering grades 2-3.

Put on your safety goggles and explore the exciting world of chemistry:

  • Learn what "matter" is -- and that it is not always the same -- through lots of fun activities.
  • Observe physical and chemical changes.
  • Make crystals and watch raisins and popcorn dance.

The class meets in four consecutive sessions:
Monday, June 25: 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
Tuesday, June 26: 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
Wednesday, June 27: 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
Thursday, June 28: 4 p.m.-5 p.m.
