Pajama Story time Presents…The Stuffed Animal Slumber Party
Published on Monday, July 2, 2012 - 10:17am
Have you ever imagined what fun can be had at the library after lights are out and the doors are locked? Well, expert photo documentarians Stokely the Black Bear, Kermit the Frog and friends (pictured left) are eager to share the joy of the library “afterhours” with your stuffed animal companions!
Bring a stuffed bedtime buddy with you and join us for a special Pajama Story Time on Wednesday, July 25 from 7-8 p.m. We will enjoy stories, songs, rhymes, movement and a craft to support early literacy, fine and gross motor development and "bedtime awareness."
Afterward, your plush pal will give you a farewell hug and remain overnight at the library for an eventful sleepover hosted by Stokely and Kermit. The evening’s escapades will be photographed and shared with participating families and the public via the library’s Facebook page and Petworth library website.
Pajama Story time is a weekly educational program for children ages birth through 7 years and their families or caregivers. Our 2012 Summer Reading Story Time theme is: Dream Big...Read!
We meet on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in the Children's Program Room on the second floor. Children are encouraged to wear comfortable pajamas, bring their favorite bedtime buddy and a grown-up partner to partake in the program.
We're looking forward to our slumber party!
