Celebrate heading back to school at our library Open House on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Whether you're an educator, a parent, or a student yourself, please come in to learn how Northwest One Library can help you excel this school year. Pick up information on our library resources and programs and grab an apple while you're at it!
Looking for more than just pamphlets and fliers? Our open house will feature a back-to-school craft for kids and an interactive 'beat club' digital music workshop for teens with local DJ Barrett Jones.
We're also offering info for teens looking for community service opportunities this fall -- the new Northwest One Teen Advisory Group (TAG). You can earn community service hours, make new friends, gain skills to enhance your resume or college applications, learn cool things, improve the library and, most importantly, have fun! Stop by the Library Open House to learn about our new TAG and how you can take part.
And we're not stopping there.
We will also demonstrate how to use some of our best online resources for teachers and students.
- Need homework help? Try tutor.com for free interactive homework help.
- Looking for a great science fair project idea? We've got plenty of online databases that will provide you with ideas!
- Want some extra help studying for the SATs? We've got you covered with both print study books and free online practice tests.
You can find more information on how your DC Public Library card helps you go back to school at dclibrary.org/backtoschool.
If you would like to bring a group to the Open House please email firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at 202-939-5946.
