A Spectacular Children's Program Presented in Partnership with the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History
Read a Story: Ruth and the Green Book by Calvin Ramsey. Through this age appropriate story, participants will be introduced to segregation in the 1950s.
Investigate! Be a Conservator: Kids will wear white cotton gloves as they explore authentic artifacts from the 1950's, record observations, and determine a preservation plan for each object.
Kids will keep their gloves and activity books and be encouraged to go home and preserve their own family history!
