Lolita is one of the four books that the women in Reading Lolita in Tehran meet to discuss. As part of the DC Reads initiative, the Francis Gregory library is hosting a viewing of the film, Lolita, in the Elizabeth Holden Room on the second floor.
The film is not rated, but the subject material is suitable for mature audiences.
Synopsis: Humbert, a divorced British professor, travels to small-town America for a teaching position. He allows himself to be swept into a relationship with Charlotte, whom he marries in order that he might pursue her 14-year-old daughter, Lolita.
