Martin Luther King Jr. Quilt

Tuesday, January 15, 2013 - 1:15 p.m.

Children's librarians will present books and film clips about Martin Luther King Jr.'s life and his role in the Civil Rights Movement while students create their own quilt squares. We will also discuss the role quilts and quilting played in black history. The squares will then be sewn into a quilt, which will be displayed in the library window.

For students ages 9-11.
