Winterfest and Creative Class

Join us for two great holiday programs this month!

Creative ClassOn Saturday, Dec. 8, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., we'll have a craft workshop for adults. Learn about yarn bombing as craft activism and participate in a mini-yarn bomb in the library. We are excited to partner with local crafters The Warm and Fuzzies for this workshop.

Please email TheCreativeClassDCPL@gmail.com to register.

The Creative Class is a series of workshops for adults at the DC Public Library, in which participants create handmade projects using materials in our collection as inspiration.

Then, on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., we'll have our annual Winterfest for families. Bring a dozen cookies to participate in our cookie swap (optional) and grab some hot chocolate in between singing carols. We'll have crafts with winter, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas themes for kids of all ages. Children can decorate our holiday tree with their newly made ornaments or take them home.  We hope to see you at our great holiday events!
