As 2012 comes to a close, Cleveland Park Library staff count down their favorite YA reads from this past year- with the help of NPR, the New York Times and you!
Jepp Who Defied the Stars, Katharine Marsh (great for fantasy fans)- The Name of the Star, Maureen Johnson (a murder mystery with a twist)
- The Revolution of Evelyn Serrano, Sonia Manzano (a family drama set in 1969 Texas)
- Necromancing the Stone, Lish McBride (sequel to the delightful Hold Me Closer, Necromancer)
- Crimson Crown, Cinda Williams Chima (conclusion to the Seven Realms series)
- Struck by Lightning, Chris Colfer (who knew Kurt from Glee could write?!)
- Rookie Yearbook One, Tavi Levinson and Rookie staff (nonfiction)
- Fire in the Streets, Kekla Magoon (another historical family drama set in the 1960's -- this time from a young girl in the Black Panther movement)
- The Fault in Our Stars, John Green (this one’s a tearjerker!)
- Insurgent, Veronica Roth (thrilling sequel to Divergent)
