Youth Advocacy Day for MLK Week

Join us in Teen Space to honor Dr. King's legacy. Learn, create, advocate and speak your mind!
  • 4 p.m. -- D.I.Y. Protest Buttons - Learn about protest art & make your own advocacy buttons.
  • 5 p.m. -- Critical Exposure Presentation & Exhibit - Youth photographers will share their research on the school-to prison pipeline & school reform advocacy.
  • 5:30 p.m. -- Three Minutes and a Microphone - Youth-led open mic & discussion on Dr. King & youth activism. Poetry performances by DC Youth Slam Team.
  • 6:30 p.m. -- Refreshments & Raffle
This event features performances by DC Youth Slam Team and a photography exhibit by Critical Exposure.
