Mardi Gras Mask Making

CarnivalIt's Carnival season! Mardi Gras is a celebration of excess; the last chance to have some fun before the somber observance of Lent. More importantly, it's a good excuse to throw a party. People wear masks, make elaborate costumes, and throw parades. Children and adults alike line the streets to watch celebrities roll by on floats, catch beads, doubloons and other trinkets.

Kids of all ages are invited to join us on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. to learn more about the cultural tradition of Mardi Gras, make masks, try king cake and win beads!
