Spiritual Formation in the African-American Religious Experience

On Feb. 14 and Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m., the Anacostia Neighborhood Library will host an author talk with the Rev. H. Lionel Edmonds.

Rev. Edmonds has been the senior pastor at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Northwest Washington, D.C. for more than 20 years. At Anacostia, Rev. Edmonds will discuss excerpts from his book, The Believer's Guide to the Jesus Gym.  In addition, he will highlight the importance of spiritual formation and the important connection it shares with the African American experience.
