The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library welcome
David Stewart, President and Founder of the Washington Independent Review of Books,
as he discusses "How We Learn About the Books We Love and the Authors Who Wrote Them."

David Stewart is the author of The Summer of 1787: The Men Who Invented the Constitution, Impeached: The Trial of President Andrew Johnson and the Fight for Lincoln’s Legacy, and American Emperor: Aaron Burr’s Challenge to Jefferson’s America

He is about to publish his first novel and will follow that with a book on James Madison.  He was inspired to create the Washington Independent Review of Books because of the decline in book reviews published in most newspapers.

The Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library love the library and provide funds to support the library and its events.  Please join the Friends and/or donate books for our book sales that support the Library.
