Construction Junction: New Play Time Program
Published on Friday, March 1, 2013 - 9:23am
There’s a new play time program at the Anacostia Neighborhood Library! Beginning March 2, join us in the children’s room on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for constructive play and early literacy activities.
Play is so critical to child development that it is recognized by the United Nations as a right of every child in the world. Playing helps children develop language, problem-solving, social, and physical skills, as well as self-confidence. Constructive play (blocks, stacking, building) also supports science, technology, and engineering skills such as spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination, and math.
Appropriate for ages 0-5, families welcome!
