Kids' Playwriting Workshop

How to Write a PlayDo you have a budding writer or actor? Join Young Playwrights' Theater (YPT) at Southeast Library for a FREE after-school program. In six action-packed workshops, participants will learn about playwriting and acting through fun games and activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to create and perform an original play about our community!
 
Workshops will take place on Tuesdays from March 12 through April 23 (no session on April 16 due to Emancipation Day holiday) from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southeast Library. Participants are signing up for the entire six-week course.The program is free of charge and open to all fourth- through eighth-grade students. No experience in theater or creative writing is necessary!
 
Young Playwrights' Theater teaches students to express themselves clearly and creatively through the art of playwriting. YPT has been providing award-winning programming throughout the Washington, DC area for 15 years. To learn more about YPT, please visit www.yptdc.org.
