How to Research and Evaluate Health Information on the Internet

Health informationCome to your local DC Public Library branch and learn about health resources on the Internet!

A series of workshops on finding health information on the Internet is scheduled at a number of DCPL branches through June.  The workshops will provide instruction on how to evaluate the quality and relevance of health information available through the Internet.

The workshops will also focus on using quality Internet-based health resources reviewed by health care professionals with particular emphasis on resources available through the U.S. National Library of Medicine. The workshops will use iPads to help participants navigate through health information on the Internet and demonstrate apps which provide assistance with answering health questions.

The workshops start Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m.
