Book Club Title for April

'The Solitude of Prime Numbers'

Image of the cover of the novel by Paolo Giordano, The Solitude of Prime NumbersPrime numbers can be a sad lot. Divisible only by one or itself, they are the odd ones out. When they meet, the teenaged, damaged Alice and Mattia instantly recognize this quality in each other. The circumstances of life will bring them together repeatedly, but only so many times. Will they ever find a way to say what has long remain unsaid and find a way to be together?

Paolo Giordano’s debut novel was a sensation in his native Italy. The holder of a Ph.D. in particle physics is the youngest recipient of Italy’s most prestigious literary prize, the Premio Strega, which he won for The Solitude of Prime Numbers in 2008.
