Tell Me Why?

On Wednesday, April 17, the Dorothy I. Height Children's Room will have a special story time devoted to the library and WHY BOOKS, being able to read and being read to are important. Children will listen to stories and color pictures of some famous libraries.

Another program is planned with the elementary school child in mind. This program will take place on the same day at 1:15pm.

The children will hear a brief history of the first library and how it came to be, discuss the changes that the library has undergone from the beginnings of the library to the 21st century library. Stories will accompany this presentation.
