Jazz Saturday

A Jazz Appreciation Month Celebration

Jazz : an introduction to the history and legends behind America's musicThe history and evolution of jazz is rich and complex, much like the nation where it was born. Jazz has been called the American classical music, an art form that can be elevated to the same level of depth, complexity and ingenuity as Bach or Beethoven.

The DC Public Library has an extensive jazz collection, and in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, we’ll be playing some choice artists from our collection at Northwest One library. Join us Saturday, April 6 at noon to enjoy artists like Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, John Coltrane and more!
