Tenley Library Explorers Club

A new weekly activity for school aged children at the Tenley-Friendship Library

Explorer book coverHave you ever wanted to explore outer space? Look inside of a volcano? Discover the inner workings of a poem? You can with the Explorers Club!

Every week, the Tenley Library will be turning our story time room into a new and exciting world. Surround yourself with informative displays, fascinating books, and an interactive activity or craft. Throughout the week, we'll create an Explorer's Log, making sure to document our discoveries for future generations. The room will be open all day, Monday-Friday, unless there is a story time or another activity happening. On Wednesdays at 4 p.m., we'll be having demonstrations, crafts, or activities!

The week of April 8-12, we'll be investigating the water cycle. Come watch a cloud be born, help build a community art project, and learn all about the wonderful world of water.

For more information or if you have any questions, you can follow our Explorers' Log online, or send an email to Ms. Christina at christina.mctighe@dc.gov
