A Duke Ellington Birthday Celebration

Symphony in BlackCome celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month and the birthday of legendary D.C. native, Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington, at the Black Studies Center on Monday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m.

We will show the classic Ellington film, Symphony in Black: A Rhapsody of Negro Life. Afterwards, WPFW Radio Personality Rusty Hassan, will lead a discussion. This is an event you can't miss, even if you have to take the A train!
