Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in April or May.
In the United States, Mother's Day is celebrated on May 12. It is a day to make your mom feel special. We live in a world where we tend to forget the value of motherhood. It is time people realize that this day is more special than bestowing her with a few materialistic gifts.
Take time out of your day and make something truly from the heart this year. Gifts could rage from a card, hand-made crafts (flower pot, vase, basket, etc.), a poem, or a custom-made rings. There are so many creative ideas that would make a wonderful gift. Check out some of the arts and crafts books at your local library for more ideas and remember .... make it special!
