Learn, Talk, and Read about the Civil Rights Movement and Beyond

Come get a head start on your summer reading list and the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Be inspired by the young leaders and stories of the Civil Rights Movement in an insightful book talk for children.

This presentation will highlight The Watson’s Go to Birmingham – 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis ,as well as many other resources such as the Library’s Picturing America Kit. This program will entice you to check-out a book or two so don’t forget your card. Refreshments will be available.
