Celebrate the Life of Dr. King

January 15 is the anniversary of the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, the civil rights leader who was assasinated in 1968. The DC Public Library is celebrating the life of Dr. King with a week-long series of events at all of our neighborhood libraries. Please visit the Washington Highlands Neighborhood Library to participated in our Wall of Hope, where you can share your hopes and dreams. On Thursday, January 14 at 5 p.m. we will have a special family celebration called "Happy Birthday, Dr. King." There will be films and refreshments for all.

All DC Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, January 18 in observation of the King holiday.
