Beneath the Surface: Albus Cavus - The Science and Art of Color

Date:
Tuesday, June 18, 2013 - 5:30pm

Discover the wonderful and unexplored world of color around us. Why is a sunset red and a rainbow always the same?

To answer these questions, we will look at color from the perspective of an artist, physicist, neuroscientist, biologist, philosopher, and even a linguist. Create your own rainbows with diffraction grating and mess around with LEDs, paint and more!

Ages 13-19.

ACAlbus Cavus is an international collective of artists and scientists who improve quality of urban life through arts and creativity. This goal is accomplished with community-based public art, participatory events, interactive environments and project-oriented education. “Beneath the Surface” workshops present innovative art techniques for exploring the world beneath the obvious and invisible to the bare eye.
