Pop-Up Books at the Library!

DCPL has a large selection of lift-the-flap, touch-and-feel and pop-up books in our Toy and Movable Books collection.  Many of these books are board books for younger children and available for check out. They are colorful, fun and stimulating for story time at the library or reading together at home.

In addition to these books for younger children, we also have a wonderful collection of pop-up books -- some of which are very beautiful and very fragile. Here at Francis A. Gregory Neighborhood Library, we have a small collection of pop-up books, including books by Robert Sabuda, a renowned paper engineer, who has made beautiful and intricate pop-up versions of books like Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz.

Come in for one of our Pop-up Book Showcase programs to handle and read this collection.  Please note that young children must be accompanied by a parent to handle some of our more delicate books.
