Book Club Title for May

'The Great Gatsby'

Image of the cover of F. Scott Fitzgerald's book The Great GatsbyYes, this month we’ll be revisiting Fitzgerald’s famous critique of 1920’s nouveau riche society. Told through the eyes of his neighbor Nick Carraway, a Yale graduate who is an outsider to the situation and an insider to this society at the same time, this is the story of eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby. Every Saturday, all the bright young things are invited to a party at Gatsby’s, where they exchange flirtations and gossip—even about their mysterious host. A man who is supposed to have everything, Gatsby is seemingly dissatisfied, but why?
