This very informative series of presentations by the American Diabetes Association has been renamed "Wellness Workshops."
It still is:
- Full of the same great tips on wellness for everyone.
- Offering information on diabetes and its risk factors.
- Designed to help you get rid of as many of those risks as possible.
Also, you will learn how to live better with diabetes if you do have it.
The programs are held the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G St. NW, in the East Lobby outside Room 220. So, to use a play on words, "Take a second for your health," (second Tuesday, that is) and join us during your lunch hour to learn more and ask questions. What you discover could improve your health or that of someone you care about.
The session coming up Tuesday, May 14 concerns the effect of diabetes on the heart.
