Foster & Host Parent Information Night!
Published on Monday, June 3, 2013 - 3:24pm
Do you care about DC kids? Consider becoming a licensed host, foster, respite or foster-to-adopt family with Latin American Youth (LAYC)!
On June 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., come learn about the D.C. child welfare system, youth homelessness and the need for host and foster families for D.C. kids. Come for information and inspiration -- no commitment necessary!
The event will feature presentations by representatives of the Latin American Youth Center’s Child Placement Programs; a panel of resource parents and former foster care youth; and a question & answer period.
Regardless of whether or not you are able to take in a child/youth, please share this information with family, friends, and colleagues in the Washington, D.C., metro area. The LAYC Host Homes, Transitional Living and Foster Care programs are always looking for loving host, foster, respite, kinship, and foster-to-adopt families for DC kids and we need your help.
Please connect us to the right people at the right time! Your introduction could make a world of a difference to a child or youth in need of loving and stable home.
This is an event sponsored by LAYC.
