DC By the Book Mapathon
|Launched in March 2013, DC By the Book is an interactive online map that allows anyone to explore and contribute to the landscape of Washington, DC as it has been represented in fiction.|
At the mapathon, we’ll spend the evening entering passages from fiction set in D.C. into the new tool. We’ll have a cart of pre-selected books (Fellow Travelers by Thomas Mallon, pretty much everything by George Pelecanos, Silenced by Kia Dupree, The Beautiful Things That Heaven Bears by Dinaw Mengestu, just to name a handful) or you’re welcome to bring your own.
When: Saturday, June 15, 1-4 p.m. (come for all or part)
