Teen Events- July Edition

July is here, and a great place to beat the heat (and boredom) is at the library! Here’s what happening this month:
Eleanor & Park Cover

  • Our first event will be a Teen Space Movie Night on July 11 at 7 p.m. Join us as we watch the movie Pitch Perfect in the second floor auditorium. (It's also a book!)
  • On July 23rd at 5:30 p.m., the Albus Cavus Art Collective will host a Fractals in Art workshop. This workshop will let you create your own fractals -- and see how art and science come together! If you want to learn some more about fractals before the event, you can check out this video, courtesy of How Stuff Works.
  • Then on July 27 at 2 p.m., we have Teen Book Club! We’ll be reading Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. Eleanor and Park are both out of place in school, but when these two meet, everything starts to fall into place. We will have audiobooks and hard copies available.
  • And finally, join us on July 31 at 4 p.m. for crafts! We will be making clay impressions, which you can then turn into a key ring, earrings or a pendant! And if you'd prefer to bring in your own craft project that's fine too!
