Teen Space librarians and teens are excited about poetry group Split this Rock's visit to Tshwane ('T' is silent), located near Pretoria, South Africa. Split this Rock meets weekly in Teen Space to discuss the writing of poetry. At each session, members compose and read aloud their poems for feedback from each other. Teen Space has hosted the group's poetry slams attended by many teen patrons.
Currently, six teens from Split this Rock will be meeting other young poets in Tshwane and performing their poetry in Johannsburg and Tshwane. The performances of the South African and American student poets will be filmed. Teen Space fans eagerly await the movie premiere.
