Are you 18 years old or younger? If so, The DC Free Summer Meals Program is for you.
The federal nutritional program -- targeted at children and teenagers -- is funded under the auspices of the United States Department of Agriculture and is administered through the D.C. Office of the Superintendent of Education. A typical lunch consists of a sandwich, milk, a fruit and a salad.
The progam begins on Monday July 8 and ends on Friday, Aug. 16. Lunch will be served from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. No registration is required.
Turn up for a free a meal and hopefully borrow books or attend a variety of planned summer activities.
See you starting July 8!
