Brighten dreaded phone calls from unsavory characters and telemarketers with a customized, DIY ringtone! If the drab, pre-fab alerts on your iPhone have gotten you down – and you refuse to be the schmuck who shells out precious cash for a 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” ringtone – come to the Digital Commons for a tutorial on how to create original tunes for your iPhone in Garageband.

Screen phone calls based on different ringtones of your own creation. Immediately know it’s your mother calling by assigning her number to your self-created, cheery, Latin-inspired jam, or compose a doom-metal 30-second ballad for your iPhone’s alarm clock. The possibilities are vast and fun.

All ages are welcome. Please bring your own iPhone. Sessions will host four students at a time twice a week for approximately one hour. Sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Mondays: 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays: 12 p.m.
