The Civil Rights Act of 1964: Is It Relevant Today?

In recognition of the 50tact of 64h Anniversary of the March on Washington, come out to hear a discussion about the Civil Rights Act of 1964, led by civil rights attorney Johnny Barnes and Howard University's Associate Professor of Political Science Michael E. Fauntroy.

Johnny Barnes previously served as executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of the National Capitol Area and has lectured at Georgetown Law Center.  He is a noted expert on civil liberties and the federal and local legislative process.

In addition to teaching courses in African American political behavior and American political parties at Howard University, Dr. Fauntroy provides political commentary on national radio and television stations.
