What Does It Mean to Eat Locally?

Adult Summer Reading Program

Groundbreaking Reads logoOn Saturday, Aug. 24, the Cleveland Park Library will host a moderated community discussion about what it means to eat locally. Interested in sustainable agriculture? Wonder how to find locally grown food? Do local businesses buy locally?  What is organic food?  What is the green movement anyway? Bring your questions, knowledge, opinions and let's get a Cleveland Park dialog going!

The panelists include D.C. journalist Rhea Kennedy; Michael Greene from Melvin Hazen Community Garden; Imre Jamry,  Istenszek Farm; and Gail Taylor from Three Part Harmony Farm. The program is at 2 p.m. in the first floor auditorium.

This event is part of the Library's  Groundbreaking Reads summer program for adults.
