Celebrating Georgetown Readers
Published on Thursday, August 8, 2013 - 5:57am
This summer, for the first time, Georgetown Neighborhood Library is offering Summer Reading for Adults, and many local readers are participating!
To celebrate and to help other local readers discover interesting titles, the library has put up a display based on the reviews submitted so far. The display features titles recommended by participants, including Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter and Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, as well as quotes from selected reader reviews -- reproduced with the permissions of their authors.
If you've read a book recently that you think deserves to be included in the display, it's not too late to tell us about it! Just come in to the Georgetown Neighborhood Library, fill in a book review form, and submit it before Aug. 24. When you do, you'll also get a DC Public Library reusable shopping bag and be entered into an upcoming drawing to win a Kindle e-reader.
Questions? Call the library at 202-727-0232. And a big thank you to all the readers who have already participated!
