September Fiber Arts Workshop

I never thought I'd bring a book on pillowcases to anyone's attention, but when I ran across this book I was intrigued. Some of our participants have been discussing handworked household linens that have come down in their families, or that they have purchased anywhere from yard sales to tony antique shops. The beautiful work begs to be seen and it is frequently relegated to a drawer, only taken out for an occasional airing.
Craft Challenge: Dozens of Ways to Repurpose a Pillowcase gives examples of giving new life to beautiful handwork that can be applied to other linens as well.
Bring your project to work on, share ideas, and enjoy the company of like-minded stitchers.
We meet the fourth Thursday of the month, 7 p.m. Next date: Sept. 26.
