Did you know that the DC State Fair is at the end of the month?


On Sept. 28, local growers and crafters will gather to show off the fruits of their labor and celebrate D.C. Here at the Southeast Library, we will host two programs on Sept. 24 to help fair competitors prepare for the Bike Accessory Contest and the Kids' Writing Contest. On Sept. 28, the day of the Fair, we will have a solar cooking demonstration and then host a seed-saving workshop and seed exchange where D.C. gardeners may swap their own seeds.

If you are curious about the seeds in this picture, come to the workshop, and we will reveal what each one is.
