Petworth Pacers Keep it Moving!

Want to stay fit and fabulous at 50+?

Join us on select Tuesday evenings for "Petworth Pacers"! All walkers should bring their own water bottle (and a small face towel for perspiration, if you like) and dress in comfortable, weather-appropriate, movement-oriented clothing.

Doctor's approval should be sought prior to participation. All walkers are required to sign liability waivers. Young children in strollers may accompany walkers.

Our power walks are low impact and moderately paced throughout the Petworth neighborhood. We walk for 40 minutes, focusing on elevating the heart rate, regulating pace and breath, staying hydrated and enjoying each other’s company. We end with 10 minutes of stretching to minimize any stiffness/soreness.

Weather permitting, we will meet for outdoor walks. In the event of inclement weather, we will remain indoors for a cardio workout.
