Let's Talk Books Over Lunch!
Published on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 - 5:33pm
Want to join a book club, but think you don't have time? Like book clubs, but don't like the book selections? Want to talk books with other readers, but you'd rather eat lunch? The Brown Bag Book Club is perfect for you!
We meet in The Great Hall every second Wednesday of the month at lunchtime to talk about what each member is currently reading. Library staffers also attend. It's easy to become a member, just have a seat at the table.
Attend our next meeting and choose a free book or audiobook from our Book Club Swap Cart. If you have a book in good condition that you'd like to share, leave it on the cart. You can also grab a snack from the basket while supplies last. Carry these home in a stylish and sturdy library tote bag of your very own, courtesy Popular Services.
Meetings are held from noon until 2 p.m. (to accommodate most lunchtimes) at the cafe seating in The Great Hall, located on the first floor in front of the Popular Library. All readers are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your lunch or just sit and chat.
See you tomorrow!
