Meet the New Librarian

New Faces in the Children's Room and Teen Space

Picture of Nicole LoinazWith expanded hours at DC Public Library we have new faces in the Children's Room and Teen Space! Meet Nicole Loinaz, one of our new librarians here at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. Let's ask Nicole a few questions:

What is your favorite thing to read?
I'd say mysteries are my favorite, but exciting non-fiction is a close second. A current favorite is The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley.

What is the oddest job you have ever had?
I used to be a zookeeper at the Brookfield zoo near Chicago. I took care of apes and monkeys and tapirs, oh my!

That is so cool! What's a tapir?!
It's a cute mammal that lives in South and Central America. Ask me to do an impression!

It is great to meet you Nicole!
