Day of Dr. King Documentaries

MLKStop by and familiarize yourselves with the library’s collection of DVD documentaries on Dr. King. They provide so much information to discuss and debate. Petworth Library invites you to view the following movies with us as a means for broadening our understanding about the socio-political climate and events that affected King’s background, mission and death.

For children and families, beginning at 12 p.m. in the Children's Program Room:

  • March On! The Day My Brother Martin Changed the World (2010), followed by Martin Luther King Jr. Day (2005, 12 minutes)

For all adults, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Room:

  • In Remembrance of Martin (1986/2005, 60 minutes);
  • Citizen King (2004, 120 minutes);
  • The March: The Story of the Greatest March in History (2013, 60 minutes).
