Thanksgiving and Hanukkah Collide!

Happy Thanksgivukkah!

Jewish Holiday Cookbook

This year, for the first time since 1888, and not again until 2070, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are sharing their holiday celebrations on the same date. With Thanksgiving being late in the season, and Hanukkah being early, there's not going to be a better chance (at least not for 57 years) to experiment with some new and fun recipes. Join in on the fun of this holiday mashup and try something new.

Tim the Turkey at Bellevue LibraryAt the Bellevue Library, Ms. Shilaina's friend, Tim the Turkey, is here to welcome you and give you some helpful books to get into the mood of the season. Come and check out some great holiday books and then head upstairs for cookbooks that only begin to cover all the delicious food you can make!

Thanksgiving: How to Cook It Well by Sam SiftonAnd, psst... we're not the only ones celebrating. This conjunctive holiday has been featured on the Today Show and even has its own Facebook page. Get excited to see friends and family, or even just get excited to eat a ton of delicious food!

Of course, if you're more of a naysayer, you can always find someone to commiserate with in Stephen Colbert.
