DC Public Library welcomes Beverly Schwartz, author of Rippling: How Social Entrepreneurs Spread Innovation Throughout the World and winner of this year's Nautilus and Axiom Business Book Awards.
As vice president at Ashoka, (the world’s largest association of social entrepreneurs), Schwartz uses the stories of Ashoka Fellows to demonstrate how everyone, everywhere can drive meaningful change. Her groundbreaking book provides a blueprint for visionary thinking in the social sector and describes how people tackle social and environmental challenges by drawing on empathy, innovation, creativity, passion and persistence to make real changes around the world.
