Special Needs Information Series: Educational Advocacy in Transition
Join us for our first program in the Special Needs Information Series with Quality Trust for People with Disabilities, Inc.
Speakers Matthew Bogin, Esq., Law Office of Matthew Bogin, and Sharman Dennis Word, Global Enrichment Solutions, LLC will present "Educational Advocacy in Transition." Thinking about and planning for transition to adulthood should start as early as possible. Youth and families are encouraged to use secondary school experiences and supports to learn about preferences and areas of strength. The goal of this session will be to empower the student and family with the skills necessary to advocate for the resources necessary to build the future for the student to have a quality life.
The next program in the series, "Supported Decision Making, Guardianship and the Other Alternatives," will be on March 25, 2014.
